Robert, was trained in Afro-Latin dances, performing arts and as choreographer in Cali, Colombia, from where his journey teaching and performing dance throughout the World began. Previously based in France, Germany, Switzerland and Japan, he founded Up’n Dance Kizomba in the Gold Coast, aiming to promote Afro dance (Kizomba, Semba, Urban Kiz and Afrobeats/house) in the Gold Coast dance community.
Apart from leading the Gold Coast Kizomba community he teaches and performs Salsa and Bachata at national and international events and takes pride in educating dancers worldwide about classical rhythms and Colombian style Salsa.
Currently Japan Kizomba champion in the professional dancer choreography division, Robert, among others, counts as his accomplishments three times Japan national champion in Salsa and Bachata and finalist of the World Salsa Open 2018 in Colombia. On top of that Rob is an accredited and experienced Latin Dance Competition Judge.
